One privilege of writing a blog is the ability to veer from the topic at times. I want to do that now, thanking our selfless veterans (along with my favorite Iraqi veteran, husband Frank), proclaiming my thankfulness for so much I/we have been given, and giving a shout out for our upcoming Illinois Education and Technology Conference. Co-worker Julie George and I will be presenting at that conference. If you're interested, take a look at that conference's site and/or our topic of "GooPP+"! (Hint: There's PARCC oriented information in GooPP...) Back to PARCC! ISBE's Friday webinars are beginning to fill up with upcoming PARCC testing information.

The trees are turning beautiful colors and school activities are in full swing. It's still early for too much PARCC activity, though! Once the new year begins, I suspect PARCC activity will ramp up... There are new reports available in Pearson Access Next for those with rights to them (the "Published Reports "Role). The Individual Student Report, Student Roster Report, District Summary of Schools Report, School Reporting Summary File and District Summary File have been available for a while. New now are the District/School Performance Level Summary Report, the District/School Evidence Statement Analysis Report and the School Content Standards Roster Report. Any SIS corrections made after July 21, 2016 are NOT reflected in PAN's District/School Performance Level Summary Report. Finally, score report interpretation Guides can be found at: http://www.isbe.net/assessment/parcc.htm The planning stage for PARCC this school year has already begun! Let's take a look at what we know so far...
Before you go, make sure you have returned/recycled materials per the manual, stopped all of your test sessions, completed your paperwork and kept the appropriate records your state requires!
The PARCC testing window is open!
*Test Irregularity Reports (from ISBE) "School staff members have 5 business days to submit a test irregularity form to the Student Assessment Division at the Illinois State Board of Education. Please provide details of the incident and what steps school staff took to correct the incident. School staff do not need to report minor technology issues that staff are able to resolve and continue with student testing (e.g., students not initially assigned the correct test accommodations in the online test format). If you have questions, please contact the Student Assessment Division at 1-866-3117-6034. The Avocet site (http://avocet.pearson.com/PARCC/Home#10741) has a fillable format form of the Irregularity Report." New information from ISBE's weekly webinars:
